Wormtown Brewery in Worcester will celebrate the opening of its new Shrewsbury Street taproom on Saint Patrick’s Day, marking both the expansion and the company’s 11th birthday, the brewer announced.
The new 4,000-square-foot space will include 14 lines of Wormtown beers, with Peppercorn’s Grille & Tavern running a kitchen pop-up through opening weekend. When pop-ups are not running, Volturno Pizza will offer its full menu to Wormtown customers.
Wednesday’s opening will operate on a first-come, first-served basis in order to enable social distancing protocols.
“While we can’t host our normal birthday bash this year, we are really excited to show everyone our new taproom and a small preview of the kind of events we can throw once it is safe again,” said Wormtown Managing Partner David Fields, in a statement.
The new taproom is located inside what was previously Korean restaurant simjang.
