Services/Products

Because we are a custom job shop, we are able to create a huge variety of products. We make windows and mirrors for 3D movie systems; glass optics for medical equipment, such as tattoo removal; optics for high power laser equipment used to cut metal for the automobile industry; and more.

Markets

Our customer base is extremely diverse because of our custom capabilities. Some of our customers are other optics manufacturers. They may buy machined blanks from us that they plan to polish themselves, or they may send their own optics to us so we can apply the coatings. We also sell to telescope manufacturers, military sub-contractors, laser systems manufacturers, etc.

Community Engagement

Our company has a long tradition of community engagement and participation. For 102 years we have supported our community in many ways. We are very involved with many local schools at various levels, and have supplied several of them with state-of-the-art equipment and computer labs. We also helped provide our town with a common area and sponsor many free concerts during the summer season. Our community has benefitted from ULC for over a century.
