The Connecticut facility, formally known as PlasPak, joined the Nordson EFD family in 2017. Nordson has recently invested $5 million in growing the CT facility.

: Destiny quickly rose at Nordson. She started in an entry-level position as an assembler and is currently a mold-maker apprentice. Destiny uses the latest technology, from CAD/CAM to CNC-controlled machining centers.

: Danny started with Nordson as a temporary inspector, packer, assembler. After a three-month probationary period, Danny was hired as a regular employee. Danny was promoted to a mold set-up technician in the tool room.

: Angel was hired as a material handler, promoted to a mold set-up technician in the tool room and is now a mold maker apprentice. Angel has taken advanced manufacturing classes at the local community college to expand his knowledge while working hands on in the tool room.

EFD offers fluid dispensers, dispense valves, automated dispensing systems, syringe barrels and precision dispense tips to apply controlled amounts of fluids. Specifically, at our Connecticut facility, we manufacture one-component or two-component precision dispensing equipment used in construction, automotive, DIY and animal health.

Careers/Job Opportunities

Nordson EFD’s Norwich location has positions ranging from entry level to skilled trades. We also have engineering and leadership roles. The facility has 36 injection molding machines; we are looking to hire technicians who have worked on these or who are willing to learn. We also have a 78,000-square-foot tool shop where we build, repair and modify Class A molding tools for all three EFD locations. We hire and train for tool-shop mold maintenance, tool maker and engineering positions.
