Services/Products

HORST has parts on many of the world’s leading commercial and military aircraft. We manufacture fasteners, pins, shafts, sleeves, bushings, fittings and thousands of other custom components from a wide variety of high-performance materials. Our primary processes include turning, Swiss-screw machining, milling, thread rolling, grinding, honing and assembly.

We manufacture parts for many of the strongest and most innovative Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers in the aerospace and defense industry. HORST produces the critical hardware that helps keep planes, helicopters and rockets flying, and our custom parts are shipped all over the world.

Internship/Apprenticeship Program

We offer internships on a rolling basis in a variety of functions, including manufacturing, engineering, finance/accounting, marketing and quality assurance. The most recent cohort of interns participated in fun and educational activities as part of 2019’s National Intern Day. Activities included the Marshmallow Challenge and an off-site trip to The Jungle Dimension escape room. Each intern season is capped with a companywide internship fair.

Why Us?
Opportunities at HORST abound: We have more than a half-dozen employee-driven teams. Members of Team HORST are encouraged to get involved outside their regular areas of work. One team, F3 (Fit, Form, Function) launched an Activity/Walking Challenge and more than 75 people participated. The company recently announced an expansion and plans to renovate 100,000 square feet of space into a world-class factory in East Hartford.

Community Engagement

HORST sponsors Team HORST Sports (an adventure sports team), hosts a summer golf league and tournament, and sponsors a variety of community events, including the Manchester Road Race’s “Veterans’ Row” and Connecticut Forest & Park Association Trails Day.

Environmental Awareness

HORST is a member of 1% for the Planet and supports dozens of conservation, education and outdoor recreation nonprofits. We power much of our electrical needs with solar and have a conservation and recycling program that strives for Zero Waste.
